Day by day
Itinerary structure
Windhoek to Sossusvlei
Accommodation: Dead Valley Lodge
Meet your Namvic driver-guide in Windhoek and travel southwest through the Khomas Highlands into the Namib. The departure time is confirmed around your arrival arrangements and Namvic’s operating hours.
Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, then Swakopmund
Accommodation: Strand Hotel Swakopmund
Start before sunrise for cooler temperatures and beautiful light, explore the dune corridor, Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, then continue via Solitaire and the Gaub and Kuiseb landscapes to the Atlantic coast. This is an active highlights day rather than a leisurely transfer.
Swakopmund, Cape Cross and Damaraland
Accommodation: Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp
Follow the coast north to the Cape Cross seal colony, continue briefly through the Skeleton Coast landscape, then turn inland toward Twyfelfontein and the dry river systems of Damaraland.
Desert-adapted wildlife in the Huab Valley
Accommodation: Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp
Join a shared lodge excursion into the Huab River system to search for desert-adapted elephants and other wildlife. Sightings are never guaranteed. If timing permits, Twyfelfontein’s rock engravings or nearby geological sites can also be visited.
Damaraland to Ongava, Etosha’s southern gateway
Accommodation: Ongava Lodge
Travel east and north through Damaraland toward Etosha. Settle into Ongava Lodge on its private reserve and, depending on arrival time, enjoy a first late-afternoon game-viewing session with your Namvic guide.
Private Etosha game-viewing day
Accommodation: Ongava Lodge
Explore Etosha National Park in the private Namvic safari vehicle. The route responds to recent sightings, road conditions and waterhole activity, allowing time for patient viewing rather than rushing between stops.
Ongava to Windhoek or Windhoek Airport
After breakfast, travel south to Windhoek or the international airport. This is a substantial transfer day. For an airport finish, a sufficiently late departure is required; Namvic confirms the safe routing once the flight time is known.

Important planning notes
- !Windhoek is recommended because it creates a clean south-to-north circuit, but it is not a requirement. The route can be adapted around your arrival arrangements.
- !This is a reusable route idea, not a confirmed departure. No lodge, vehicle, guide or activity is held until Namvic confirms availability in writing.
- !The guide price is based on two adults sharing and is recalculated for the requested dates, traveller count, rooming and confirmed supplier rates.
- !Days 2, 3 and 7 are substantial. A slower journey requires at least one additional night.
- !Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, and daily sequencing can change with weather, road conditions, park rules and operational requirements.
- !Please provide arrival and departure details and dietary requirements when requesting the itinerary.
