Day by day
Itinerary structure
Arrival and a gentle first evening
Accommodation: Hotel Heinitzburg · proposed
Meet a Namvic representative on arrival and transfer privately to Windhoek. Settle in at your own pace; no paid city tour or extra excursion is scheduled. The guide, vehicle and pickup timing are confirmed with the final travel arrangements.
Across the highlands to the Namib
Accommodation: Sossusvlei Lodge · proposed
Travel south-west with your private Namvic guide through the central highlands, allowing sensible comfort and photography stops. Arrive for dinner and prepare for an early start into the dunes.
Early light in the dunes
Accommodation: Sossusvlei Lodge · proposed
Explore Sossusvlei and Deadvlei with your Namvic guide, allowing time to walk and photograph at your own pace. Park access and local conditions shape the outing. No balloon flight, scenic flight or separate lodge excursion is included.
Where the desert meets the ocean
Accommodation: Strand Hotel Swakopmund · proposed
Cross changing Namib landscapes towards the coast, with suitable scenery and comfort stops. Check in at Strand Hotel and keep the remainder of the day open after the drive. A particular room view is not guaranteed.
Life among the coastal dunes
Accommodation: Strand Hotel Swakopmund · proposed
Join the included specialist Living Desert excursion. It is shared rather than private, and route, timing and wildlife encounters depend on the operator and conditions. The afternoon is free; a cruise, Sandwich Harbour outing and scenic flight are not included.
Granite country and ancient stories
Accommodation: Mowani Mountain Camp · proposed
Travel inland to Mowani. A Twyfelfontein visit is planned only if arrival time and opening hours allow. The public-site entry and any required local-guide charge are paid directly. No separate desert-elephant excursion or sighting is promised.
An early start and a long Etosha crossing
Accommodation: Onguma The Fort · proposed
Leave early via Khorixas and Outjo, aiming for Andersson Gate around midday subject to progress. Cross Etosha eastwards with wildlife stops where time permits. This is genuinely a long transfer day; your guide manages the route against gate closing times and daylight.
A full private Etosha day
Accommodation: Onguma The Fort · proposed
Explore Etosha’s park roads and waterholes with your Namvic guide, responding to current conditions and sightings. No animal encounter is guaranteed. Separate lodge-operated drives or specialist excursions are not automatically included.
Return to Windhoek
Accommodation: Hotel Heinitzburg · proposed
Make the substantial return to Windhoek with suitable meal and comfort stops. No extra sightseeing is scheduled. The overnight protects a proper rest before the cross-border departure; flights to Maun are not part of this road itinerary.
Across the border to Ghanzi
Accommodation: Thakadu Bush Camp · proposed
Travel with your Namvic guide and suitable 4x4 into Botswana. The Ghanzi stop deliberately avoids an excessive Windhoek-to-Maun day. This is a practical overnight, with no paid cultural tour or wildlife activity included.
A second, more comfortable road stage
Accommodation: Crocodile Camp · proposed
Continue to Maun with comfort stops, then rest and prepare for the rough-road journey into Khwai. This is a transfer day: no scenic flight, mokoro outing or other paid Maun activity is included.
Into the wildlife country
Accommodation: Khwai Guest House · proposed
Travel by private Namvic 4x4 to Khwai, allowing for track conditions and delays. The two-night package includes accommodation, full-board meals and two shared scheduled lodge activities per night: four activity entitlements across the stay. Arrival timing may shape the first activity.
A full lodge-based safari day
Accommodation: Khwai Guest House · proposed
Activity choices can include game drives, a night drive and a water-dependent mokoro outing. Exact outings are not guaranteed, and applicable park fees are included only where specified for the selected packaged activity. Any full-day Moremi outing and its participant minimum require written supplier confirmation. This is not a fly-in central Delta island stay.
Through the safari region to Ghoha Hills
Accommodation: Ghoha Hills · proposed
Travel with your Namvic guide towards Ghoha Hills, with the operational route chosen for access, tracks and conditions. The proposed lodge package includes meals, soft drinks, local spirits, beer and wine, laundry, scheduled shared game drives, and government taxes, levies and park fees as currently legislated, subject to written reconfirmation. Arrival may limit the first activity; premium drinks, spa and personal purchases are excluded. No Savuti Marsh excursion is promised on this one-night stay; that supplier excursion requires a minimum of two nights.
From Savuti to the Chobe River
Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge · proposed
Continue to Kasane and check in for one night. The proposal requests two selected shared lodge experiences; the exact package, included park fees and activity slots require written confirmation. A boat safari and game drive are preferred, but arrival, departure and supplier schedules determine whether both can be arranged. No specific river view is guaranteed.
Onward to the agreed town handover
Accommodation: No overnight included · journey ends in town
Subject to written confirmation, take the lodge-arranged one-way transfer after breakfast to an agreed Victoria Falls town drop-off. Border formalities affect timing and private exclusivity is not promised. Falls admission, sightseeing, accommodation, airport transfer and a tight onward flight connection are outside this journey.

Important planning notes
- !This is an evergreen proposed route, not a booking confirmation. Lodges, room categories, activity slots, road access and the final price must be reconfirmed in writing.
- !Before accepting the journey, Namvic must reconfirm cross-border operating permissions, permits, the suitable vehicle, guide allocation and all supplier services. No particular guide is guaranteed.
- !Private Namvic road guiding does not make the Living Desert excursion, Khwai activities, Ghoha drives, Chobe experiences or final town transfer private.
- !Day 7 is a genuinely long Mowani-to-Onguma transfer through Etosha. Daylight and gate management take priority over a relaxed game-drive pace.
- !Khwai is a land-based road safari, not a central Okavango Delta island overnight. Mokoro activity is water-dependent; full-day Moremi availability and participant minimum need written supplier confirmation.
- !Wildlife, road conditions, sand, weather, border queues and supplier schedules can alter timing and activity order. No specific sighting or exact arrival is guaranteed.
- !The final transfer ends at an agreed Victoria Falls town point. Timing, border arrangements and the exact drop-off must be reconfirmed; do not plan a tight onward flight.
