Day 1

Arrival in Windhoek and vehicle briefing

Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport, transfer to Windhoek and meet the Namvic team for a comprehensive Hilux 4x4 handover, camping equipment briefing, GPS introduction and route discussion.

Day 2

Windhoek to Sesriem

Self Catering

Collect the fully equipped Toyota Hilux 4x4 and drive south-west into the Namib Desert towards Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei.

Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and Sesriem Canyon

Self Catering

Start early for the famous dune landscapes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, with time for Dune 45, Big Daddy viewpoints and Sesriem Canyon before returning to camp.

Sesriem to Swakopmund

Bed & Breakfast

Drive through dramatic desert scenery via Solitaire and the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons before reaching Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast.

A relaxed coastal day for cafés, shops and town exploration, or optional activities such as Sandwich Harbour, quad biking, sandboarding, dolphin cruises or scenic flights.

Swakopmund to Twyfelfontein / Damaraland

Self Catering

Travel north into Damaraland, one of Namibia’s most scenic regions, with time for Twyfelfontein’s UNESCO-listed rock engravings depending on timing.

Damaraland discovery day

Spend the day exploring the area around Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes, or add an optional desert elephant excursion through the dry riverbeds.

Damaraland to Etosha South

Drive towards Etosha National Park and settle at Okaukuejo for the wildlife stage of the journey.

Return vehicle and departure transfer
