Match the tent setup to your group
- •Two travellers usually need one rooftop tent and a lighter package.
- •Four adults normally need two rooftop tents and a package designed around more people and more equipment.
- •Tell Namvic if children, extra luggage, lodge nights or mixed camping/lodge travel are part of the trip.
Check the equipment before leaving Windhoek
- •Make sure you understand the tent, awning, fridge, table, chairs, gas setup, kitchen kit and lighting where included.
- •Ask where the jack, wheel spanner, compressor and recovery items are located before you leave town.
- •For remote routes, confirm whether GPS, satellite phone or extra support equipment is recommended.
Plan campsites and restocking points
- •Book popular campsites early, especially Etosha, Sossusvlei and high-season routes.
- •Plan food, water, fuel and restocking stops around realistic driving distances.
- •Avoid planning campsite arrivals after dark on gravel roads or wildlife routes.
