Liuwa Plains Wildebeest migration:

(10 Day guided self drive Safari)

Etosha 19th Jan 148.jpg

Join Namvic Tours & Safaris on a guided self drive safari to Liuwa Plains National Park in Zambia. Every year, thousands of wildebeest converge on Zambia's Liuwa Plains in what is considered to be Africa's second largest animal migration.

Often the plains look completely empty. Then suddenly a small speck appears in the distance. As you drive closer, a wildebeest slowly emerges, followed by more, until the horizon is black from one side to the other. All sense of perspective is lost: a tree that looks five minutes away takes half an hour to reach; lions seem unnaturally large, with disproportionately well-muscled shoulders.

Your adventure will start in Katima Mulilo, Namibia. From here you will cross the Mighty Zambezi River into Zambia. We visit the beautiful Sioma Falls and cross the Barotse Flood plains. From Kalabo we enter the park and spend three nights there. From Liuwa Plains National park you continue on through Kafue National park and eventfully reaching Livingstone where the trip ends.

This is a guided self drive safari and you will be led by experienced guides who have a great experience in their fields of expertise. Though this off-road safari will be “tough going” at times and will put your sense of adventure to the test, the rewards will far outweigh the hardships you might encounter.
